Empowerment Plan - Creating Impact through Employment

Empowerment Plan is a Detroit based 501-C3 nonprofit focused on ending the generational cycle of homelessness. Founded in 2012, our mission is to provide supportive employment for individuals experiencing homelessness through the production of a sleeping bag coat for those in need around the globe. 

 

Lauren Knill, Certified Fundraising Executive, has spent a decade working in fund development for grassroots organizations in Detroit. As Development & Outreach Manager, Lauren works to connect passionate donors with organizations and communities around the globe to help distribute the EMPWR Coat to those most in need. Since joining Empowerment Plan in early 2018, Lauren has helped distribute more than 36,000 coats across North America, Europe, and Asia.
