Defer Elementary School has an eco-friendly gardening and weeding project where no pesticide or herbicide treatments are put in the ground. Again this spring, a few Rotarians, even one who only weeks ago submitted his application for membership, showed up with gloves and tools to clean out flowerbeds and hedges, and pull some of the largest dandelions ever seen!
