On December 3rd, were delighted to hear from Frank Palazzolo during his new member presentation, where he shared a lifetime of professional achievement, service, and community involvement.
Born in 1956, Frank graduated from Austin Prep in 1974 before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1980, followed by an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1983. He married his college sweetheart, Lois Malthaner, in 1981, and together they have three children and six grandchildren. A proud Michigan man, Frank is a devoted Lions fan and makes it a point to attend at least one game every year, and two of his three children also attended the University of Michigan.
Frank spent 20 years at the Henry Ford Health System, where he held various roles in finance, most notably working under the CFO, and also played a key role in organizing conferences and award benefits. After retiring following a car accident, Frank deepened his commitment to service, becoming heavily involved in mission work and participating in more than 30 mission trips. He has a long history of volunteerism both locally and nationally, previously served as President of the Detroit #1 Kiwanis Club, and even ran for, and won, Mayor of Harper Woods, serving one term.
In addition to his civic and charitable work, Frank stays active by playing on his church softball team and has even ventured into the wine business with a friend as a self-described “chief winemaker.” We’re excited to welcome Frank and grateful for the experience, leadership, and enthusiasm he brings to the club!
