On August 5th, the Rotary Club welcomed Zak Belisle, as our speaker who shared an insight into his personal life.

The Grosse Pointe Rotary Club was pleased to welcome Zak Belsile as this week's featured speaker and newest member. During his presentation, Zak shared his personal journey, offering an inspiring look into the experiences, passions, and values that have shaped his life.

Born in 1990, Zak was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at a young age and has been managing his condition ever since. Originally from Canton, Michigan, he now calls Grosse Pointe home. Zak graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in Business and Classics before building a successful career in finance. He currently serves as Vice President of Financial and Business Intelligence and previously worked for XBOX, where he combined his professional expertise with his passion for the gaming industry.

Family is at the center of Zak's life. He and his wife are proud parents to Jack and Louise, in which he spoke about how much he values spending quality time with his family. Whether its family movie nights, hiking adventures with their dog Bear, or exploring new destinations together, Zak believes those shared experiences create lifelong memories.

Travel and photography are two of Zak's greatest passions. He believes travel encourages people to step outside their comfort zones, fostering personal growth while deepening their appreciation for the world. Together, he and his wife have explored destinations including Tuscany, Greece, Barcelona, Florence, and numerous U.S. national parks. Through photography, Zak enjoys preserving those unforgettable moments, capturing breathtaking scenes from places such as, Zion National Park, Olympic glaciers, and the ancient landscapes of Greece.

When he's not traveling, Zak enjoys building LEGO creations, racing, playing video games, and watching movies with his family. He also notes that one of his favorite traditions is making homemade pizza from scratch, from preparing the dough to cooking the sauce.

Zak's dedication to family, lifelong learning, adventure, and making a positive impact reflects the core values of Rotary. We are thrilled to welcome him as an official member of the Grosse Pointe Rotary Club and look forward to the leadership, service, and enthusiasm he will bring to the club! Thank you for your time and commitment!
